Range Predictions:

The most ambiguous part of the electric vehicle is the driving range on a single charge. The driving range depends on many parameters such as ambient pressure, temperature, humidity, battery health, traffic conditions, topography, driver behaviour, pay load and many more. To predict a range precisely, a robust correlation of above parameters on battery performance is required which needs extensive testing and validated assumptions. The range can be dynamically calculated with advanced artificial intelligence and neural networks logic. Drive Cycle Definition:

A driving cycle is a series of data points representing the speed of a vehicle versus time. Driving cycles are produced by different countries and organizations to assess the performance of vehicles in various ways, as for example fuel consumption and polluting emissions. Additionally, diving cycles are used in propulsion system simulations to predict performance of internal combustion engines, transmissions, electric drive systems, batteries, fuel cell systems and similar components. For different topographies, the actual driving conditions may vary than that of the driving cycle consideration. Therefore there could be a better solution if extreme weather, topographies etc. are considered while defining a driving cycle and performance is tested against such real world conditions in the virtual environment (simulation).
